In retrospect this song seems to be where my creative endeavours were at (or had just been) at the time - 'Collecting Dust". A bit inspired by one man band Eels recordings and with a guitar hook ripped (unconsciously) from 'Burlesque' by Family and with the Pixies lurking somewhere in the background this opening track features waves of 'static' produced by accident from connecting up unfamiliar gear incorrectly. This serendipity was looped and mixed in accordingly. The vocal on this track (as with a few of the others) is generally quite soft and 'fey' - due to the constraints of recording in a flat with paper thin walls (and floors and ceilings) and trying not to disturb neighbours...sorta works though.
