Ok this one is a little bit epic if you'll pardon the oxymoron. Originally written and first recorded pre-lyrics around Mark Cottrells house, where he thought I was singing 'Me Song' as an ironic take on selfish 'indie' heartfelt exposition. I was in fact just vocalising word shaped phrases as I sang the melody. I liked the thought of writing the lyrics around this idea however but couldn't get it to work (i'm not ironic enough ironically) so it turned into a 'legion' song. By this I mean it had several differing themes stitched together, Alienation, Isolation, Elitism, Escapism but most of all actually erm...me
Not much to say on the manufacturing process here but I do like the 'bap bap baddap bap backing vocals towards the end, strangely Jon Anderson-y I think
